For your reference, the conference is located at the following hotel:
Located in the heart of downtown and atop the bluffs of the Mississippi River, the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront offers unrivalled access to the best of the Twin Cities. It is just steps away from live theater, renowned museums, memorable dining, specialty shopping, and an extensive park and trail system. Saint Paul is Minnesota’s capital city, and home to the Science Museum of Minnesota, History Center, Children’s Museum, CHS Field, Schubert Museum and the Xcel Energy Center.
- Dress Code: There is no dress code for the National Walking Summit and this is a casual conference. For those attending Learning-in-Place workshops on September 13th, please be prepared to be on the go. Walking shoes are great. We hope you will take advantage of the conference location and walk to restaurants and for exercise when you are not in a workshop session.
- Things to Do: Our local host committee has put together a list of some of their favorite things to do and see in the area. Check it out!
- Getting To/From the Airport: The conference hotel is located approximately 20 minutes by car and 35 minutes by public transportation. The airport will have a help desk to advise you how to get to the hotel.
- St. Paul Weather: We expect to have nice weather during September but please check the internet before you leave home.
